Known Issues

  • As you draw a line from a trap, no line appears behind the cursor

Your computer does not have Direct3D Acceleration enabled. To enable it, do the following:

  1. Open the Start Menu.
  2. Choose "Run", type "dxdiag" (without quotes) into the window and click "OK".
  3. The DirectX Diagnostic tool will open. If it does not, you must install DirectX version 7 or later. Download and install it from Microsoft's DirectX site here.
  4. Click on the "Display" tab.
  5. In the center of the screen, within the section labeled "DirectX Features", the second line should read "Direct3D Acceleration" and probably has "Disabled" beside it.
  6. Click the "Enable" button beside "Direct3D Acceleration" and close the DirecX Diagnostic Tool window.
  7. If Out of Your Mind is open, close it. Open Out of Your Mind again and play normally.
  • As you quit the game, the game crashes

On some machines near the minimum system requirements, the game crashes upon closing. This does not affect gameplay, your saved game, or other applications, and you may open the game again and play normally.

  • Text in the game appears blurry or spotted

When the options screen is used to switch the game from full screen to windowed mode, some text is rendered blurry. Leave the game in the state (Full Screen on or off) which you wish it to be in and then quit and re-open the game. The text should be clear as long as you do not again switch Full Screen on or off.

  • The game screen seems stretched or distorted in full screen mode

In full screen mode, the game forces the screen to display at 800x600 resolution. If you have a widescreen monitor or other display with a non-standard 4:3 aspect ratio, the game may appear distorted. Run the game in windowed mode (Full Screen: off) to view the game properly.

  • You try to use a Posi-Tic but nothing happens

Several Posi-Tics require certain actions in order to be used. The BallisTic will not disappear (take effect) unless the line it is on is looped around a Mega Nega-Tic. The TherapeuTic will not take effect unless the line it is on is looped around some gunk. If the conditions cannot be met (because there are no more Mega Nega-Tics or no more gunk), the Posi-Tic cannot be used. This is to help prevent you from wasting a Posi-Tic accidentally. You may still finish the level by clearing all gunk and Nega-Tics.

  • The cut scene does not save which choice you made when you first watched it

This is by design. Your choice in the cut scene does not directly affect gameplay in the levels which follow it.
