The Game

The Design

This game was based on the Inventor line of LEGO products – sets of bricks that came with all kinds of moving parts that could be used to make self-propelling cars, animals that walked and waddled, and other kinds of kinetic systems. Inspired by the classic PC title The Incredible Machine, in Inventor Saves the Day the player has a limited inventory of LEGO pieces and must accomplish specific goals on each level, such as hitting switches. Out of all of our LEGO games, this title is the most faithful to the toy it references, and all of the bricks that the player manipulates are based directly on pieces from the LEGO Inventor line.
