AS3 / Flex Programmer
Job Description
Gamelab is looking for a lead AS3/Flex programmer, with 4-5 years of OOP under your belt, and 1 year or more of AS3/Flex experience. You are a flexible coder, with knowledge of complex systems like games and enterprise-level user interfaces, and with the ability to pull together resources from a diverse team of artists, game designers, and other programmers. You've been using external data sources for years now, and have a solid understanding of how to bring in external assets both at runtime and compile-time. You are also a former and/or current game addict who is passionate about bringing games beyond the realm of simple entertainment. If you're really on point, you also have some Agile Development experience.

Art Director
Job Description
The Art Director oversees all expressions of Gamelab’s visual identity, including artistic styles of games, printed and digital Gamelab-branded materials, and office interior. The Art Director guides and supervises all aspects of visual design and production throughout the game development process to ensure AAA-quality, game-brand and Gamelab-style appropriate visual aesthetics.
Skills/Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of design experience in interactive, new media, or game development; and at least 2 years as a senior designer or in an equivalent position
- Portfolio that demonstrates conceptual thinking, strong creative vision and robust problem-solving skills for complex interactive and experience design challenges
- Strong competence and understanding of concept design, graphic design, character design, animation, and interaction design
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience and passion for leveraging leadership skills
- Desire and proven ability to inspire creativity, innovative thinking and motivation in colleagues and support staff
- Appreciation for games, pop culture, and trends, and passion for keeping abreast of rapid changes therein
